Dior presented its Haute Couture autumn-winter 2023-2024 collection. The first word that comes to mind to describe it is ‘Divine.’ Starting with the beautiful set design by Marta Roberti, who transformed the catwalk into a piece of art itself, to the collection itself.
Maria Grazia Chiuri pursues her ideals with this Dior haute couture collection, refining to perfection the sartorial elements that can be described as archetypal. The collection definitely has divine antique notes: a vertical silhouette, multi-layering in one color, which creates a more interesting depth of the look, and flat shoes.
For most of the collection, white is the chosen color, complemented by beige, silver, and pale gold tones.
Models compose a hieratic sequence, as if following in the footsteps of all the divinities who have ruled and still rule the world. The vertical silhouette and flat shoes are prominent. The selected colors include white, beige, silver, and pale gold. Jackets and coats are structured by the folds beneath the chest, evoking classical statues and the fluting of columns. Pearls, symbols of purity, are featured in numerous embroideries.
